Update On “The Greener Grass Conspiracy”

On April 30, 2011, my book The Greener Grass Conspiracy is going to be released. I’m pretty excited about it. Writing a book is a long, tiring, fun process, and I’m excited for it to be available to more people. Here are some specifics about the release of the book.

My friend Caleb Murphy has spent many hours writing and recording songs that are based on the content of the book. The result is an EP titled Thank God They’re Wrong, and I must say, it’s pretty awesome. It will be available to the general public on 04/11/11 and will be priced somewhere around $5.

However, from March 15 through the beginning of April, Crossway Books is going to be offering the book for pre-order at a discount of 35%. If you pre-order the book you will get a digital download of Caleb’s album for free. Pretty sweet, right? Stay tuned for more details on this.

Over the next two months I’ll probably be sharing snippets from the book here and on Facebook and Twitter. Hopefully the snippets will whet your appetite for more.

Finally, here is one of the endorsements that has come in from the book. I’m humbled and grateful for these words:

?Often we are not content, sometimes we are content with too little. We need help with contentment, and Stephen Altrogge offers it. His style is friendly, funny, and easy to read. He?s perceptive, clear, relevant, biblical and Christ-centered, drawing as readily from the Puritans as contemporary culture. God spoke to my heart through The Greener Grass Conspiracy. Don?t be content not to read it.?

That is a fantastic endorsement, Stephen. Excited for you and for the book. One I will def. be reading. How cool that Caleb has done some songs for it. I have long said and it remains true, "All good things come from PA…and I particularly, think Indiana, PA!" :)
So, I'm wondering. Are you going to attempt to author as many books as your dad has composed songs?!! No pressure. :)
