With the advent of Spotify, it’s difficult to keep up with all the good music that gets released. Here’s what I’ve been digging lately.
Carrie & Lowell by Sufjan Stevens – I’m not a raging Sufjan fan, but it’s always fun to hear the sound layers he creates in his songs.
Kintsugi by Death Cab For Cutie – Death Cab is one of my favorite bands, hands down. I love the way Ben Gibbard structures the songs he writes, with long, textured builds.
Brother by The Brilliance – I don’t listen to a whole lot of Christian music, but this album is one I particularly enjoy. It sounds very different from most of the Christian music I hear.
Ryan Adams – Wow, what a good album. Not overly produced, brilliant songwriting. Has some profanity so probably don’t want to listen around young ears.
