Feeling weary? Exhausted? Too tired to go on? Scripture Memory verse of the Week: Isaiah 40:28-29

Have you ever felt just spiritually worn out? Like you didn’t have the grace to go another day?

Like your well was bone dry? Maybe you feel like you can’t go another day parenting your kids. Or you have no strength to keep trusting God through a hard time. If that’s you (and God lets us all face times of weakness) then this week’s Scripture Memory Verse is for you. Look at what Isaiah tells us:

Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength. Isaiah 40:28-29

First of all we who believe in Jesus Christ serve the everlasting God. The eternal one who had no beginning and has no end. The Creator of the ends of the earth. When he finished creating the universe with it’s billions of galaxies of billions of stars, he wasn’t tired in the least. The everlasting God has everlasting strength. His power and strength are infinite, inexhaustible. If he had created a million universes he would not have lacked an iota of strength. And our eternal God is infinite in his understanding and wisdom as well.

And here’s the good news: This God, who is infinitely strong and wise gives his power to us who believe in him and come to him.

When we have no might, when we are at the end of our resources, God increases our strength. In his infinite understanding he knows just what we need and when we need it. And when he pours out his strength and grace into our lives, we see that it is from him, and give him thanks and the glory he deserves.

So if your tank is empty, if you’re at the end of your strength, if you can’t go another step, cry out to the Creator of the ends of the earth, the everlasting God. Cry out to Jesus your Savior. Call upon your loving Father. He has strength to spare and takes great delight in pouring it into his weak and needy children.
