Every Christian parent cares deeply about their children and wants to seem them know God and be blessed by him.
Praying for our children is one of the best gifts we can give to them. God uses our prayers for children to do mighty things in their lives.

Lord Jesus, I have believed in you and you have saved me. I believe it is your will to save my children. By your Holy Spirit, please save each and every one of my children for your glory. Thank you that you hear all my prayers for children in my family.

Heavenly Father, you have promised that all my children shall be taught by you. Please do this. Please reveal yourself to all my children, and save them. Please fill my children with your great peace.

O Lord, please establish my children and descendants before you. Cause each one to follow you wholeheartedly as disciples all the days of their lives. I pray for my children that they would dwell securely in you all their days.

Lord, you have poured out your spirit on me as part of your astonishing New Covenant blessings. You have filled me with the Holy Spirit and made me alive to the sweet things of you. Please do that in my children. I pray for my children that you would pour out your Spirit on them, causing them to be born again and to live with zeal for you.
Prayers For Protection
“My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge.” Psalm 18:2
Heavenly Father, please be our secure stronghold. Please protect my children from all that would harm them now and forever. I pray for their protection against sin, the world, the devil, evil thoughts and every evil thing. Help my children to be safe from all harm.
“Behold, he who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Psalm 121:4
Father God, please keep my children every moment of the day and night, and always help them to stay awake for you. I pray for my children that they would never drift off to sleep spiritually, and that you would help them follow you all the days of their life.
Prayers For Health
“You who have shown me great and severe troubles will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.” Psalm 71:20
Lord God, I trust in your care for me and my children. Please bless my children with health in every way. Help them to be physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally healthy. When they are ill in any way, please heal them. Let them always come to you and rely on you for health.
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17
Heavenly Father, I pray that each one of my children will cry out for your help when they are in trouble, and I thank you will always hear them. I pray that their troubles would be few, and when they do experience trouble that you would deliver them. Please keep my children safe from danger, both physical and spiritual.

Lord, thank you that you have helped me to walk in integrity. You promised that if I did this you would bless my children. So I ask you to please bless my children. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you delight to answer these prayers for children I’ve been given.

O Lord, thank you that in all my years you have never forsaken me. Thank you for all the ways you have provided for me over the years. I offer this prayer for my children: continue to be faithful to them and provide for them. Thank you, Lord.

Lord God, please help me to fear you. Please deliver me from temptation and sin. And please deliver my children from temptation and sin, evil and harm. Thank you that you are our mighty refuge.

Father, I certainly have made many mistakes in my efforts to train my children in your ways. Nevertheless, I trust in YOUR faithfulness toward my children. I trust you to save them, draw them, protect them, cause them to follow you, and obey you. In this confidence, I pray for my children that you would keep them until they grow old.

Lord Jesus, please give my children your peace as they go to sleep. Give them the security of your power, love, and care. Give them peace in knowing that their Heavenly Father is watching over them. Please help them not to be anxious about tomorrow or what they’ll face in the coming day.
“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.” Proverbs 3:24
Father God, please give my children the gift of a restful night. Help them to have sweet dreams, and if they do have a bad dream, help them not to fear. Thank you that even in darkness, they can trust in your presence. Help them wake up tomorrow feeling rested and encouraged.
Morning Prayers For The Day
“I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. So my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you are with me…” Psalm 16:8-9
Father God, thank you that your presence in my heart is my strength. Thank you that even in the midst of troubles, your presence gives me joy. Please give my children a glad heart and tongue. Give them strength for their bodies and peace in their hearts to know that they are secure because of your faithfulness. I pray this in Jesus’ name!
“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Heavenly Father, thank you for all the things you’ve given me. Please help my children be satisfied in YOU. Help them delight in those things that are truly important to you, knowing that you are the greatest treasure of all. Thank you, Lord! Amen.
Prayer For Friendships
“You should not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend. And you should not go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity; better is a neighbor who is near than a brother who is far away.” Proverbs 27:10-11
Lord God, please help my children to have friends that are close enough to go to in their time of need. Please help them to have true friends who care for them, love them, and bless them as you do. Help my children not to forsake those friendships, nor neglect the needs of others because they’re only focused on their own problems. I pray this in Jesus name, amen.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…” Hebrews 10:24
Jesus, please give my children friends who will encourage and spur one another on. Surround them with those that will point them to Christ as they encourage one another to love and good deeds. Please help my children be those kind of friends as well. Amen.
Praying For My Sons
“Hear, my son, your father’s instruction and forsake not your mother’s teaching. For they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.” Proverbs 1:8-9
God our Father, I pray that you would give my sons ears to hear the biblical truths that we teach them. Please help them to learn from us, and not forsake those teachings. I pray that these truths will be a garland of love and grace for my sons head as well as a necklace of honor around their throats. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Prayer For My Daughter
“A wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.” Proverbs 14:1
Lord Jesus, help my daughter to wisely build her life upon you. Help her to be wise in the decisions she makes, knowing that even when things go bad, you are still there. I pray that my daughter would rely upon the Holy Spirit to keep from making poor choices and receive wisdom and grace from you. Amen.
